This is a big update for us - and the moment glide grows up. A fresh look and the features you've been asking for.
📈 Here is what we shipped
1. A whole new look
glide got a glow-up. we rebuilt the interface from the ground up - cleaner, faster, and a lot less clutter between you and your next spot. You can now choose to use the app in dark or light mode, the map, the imports - everything is just neater and easier on the eyes.
2. Collection - or as we call them "vaults"
Your saves finally have a home that makes sense. group spots however your brain works - "tokyo 2026," "date night," "places to drag my friends to." Make as many as you want and actually find things later. We have also added pre built vaults including vaults of places that you have visited, countries where you have have saved and visited spots - and more!
3. You can now add notes to your imports
The place is only half the story. leave yourself the details that matter - the dish to order, the best table, who recommended it, "go early or you'll wait an hour."
4. Save straight from Instagram into a collection
See a reel of somewhere you have to go? Send it directly into the right collection without leaving Instagram. No screenshots, no copy-paste, no losing it in your saved folder.
5. Mark places as done & favourites
Keep score. Tick off the spots you've actually been to, and star the ones you can't stop talking about. Your map finally shows where you've been and where you're obsessed.

We rebuilt search from scratch - faster, more forgiving, and actually understands what you're looking for, whether that's a name, a vibe, or a half-remembered "that ramen place."
2. General bug fixes
Squashed a healthy pile of bugs along the way. Let's just say our engineers have earned a long nap. Not all heroes wear capes.

This is it - day one. glide is officially live. Here is what we shipped:
Save places from Instagram reels
The core of glide. paste any reel - that ramen spot, the rooftop bar, the café everyone's posting - and glide pulls out the actual place for you. No more screenshotting menus or losing locations in your saved folder.
Your own map of saved spots
Every place you save lands on a personal map that's actually yours. so "omg we have to go here" becomes a real plan instead of dying somewhere in your DMs.
A saved list that finally makes sense
All your spots in one organized place - easy to browse, easy to find when you're actually out and looking for somewhere to go.
